ReFrame Film Festival’s ReelKids Program

The ReFrame International Film Festival takes place annually in Peterborough, Ontario. This documentary film festival includes a subsection called “REELKids”.

According to the REELKids website:

“ReFrame’s REELKids Peterborough International Film Festival is a four-day celebration of film and media designed for elementary school children in grades 1-8.  The festival features important award-winning films from around the world on topics including the environment, Indigenous peoples, human rights and world issues. Our program includes a comprehensive Teacher’s Guide for educators”

Each year, one main focus of REELKids is films made by Indigenous filmmakers or relating to Indigenous culture, heritage, and treaty rights.
