The focus being on community education and “building bridges of understanding between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples through respectful relationships as we learn from our past to shape a new future.” “Embodied in the Two Row Wampum treaty, the Covenant Chain respects the dignity and integrity of the two peoples, stresses non-interference, and is based on the principles of peace, friendship and mutual respect.”
