Happy 250th Anniversary, 1764 Treaty of Niagara!

A two-day event was held Aug 1 – 2, 2014 to commemorate the signing of the 1764 Treaty of Niagara 250 years ago. This Treaty sets a tone of peace and reciprocity symbolized through gift giving and renewal of the Covenant Chain between the British Crown and 24 Indigenous nations, including representatives from the Haudenosaunee, Ojibway and Algonquin nations.
