Two Row Paddle Down the Grand River

What started as a commemorative trip down the Hudson River to celebrate the anniversary of the Two Row Wampum Belt Treaty is developing into a movement for greater awareness, pride and action.

Members of the original paddle offer Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians a commemorative paddle with the Haudenosaunee, in efforts to engage with the original values of the 1613 treaty: “those of living alongside each other with the “Good Mind”, in peace, friendship and with a view to a respectful, sustainable future together.”
