Gregory Scofield’s Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women Twitter Project

Since January 2013, Métis poet, storyteller, professor and activist Gregory Scofield has been carrying out a project in order to raise awareness of the crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women taking place on Turtle Island. He is tweeting one name of a missing Indigenous woman each day along with the phrase “Find/honour our missing and stolen sisters.” This is sometimes accompanied by an image of the woman. You can see Gregory Scofield’s Twitter feed here.
