Social Justice Week at Ryerson University

Every year, Ryerson University’s Social Justice Week kicks off with the first day dedicated to Indigenous justice. The first day includes an Annual Truth and Reconciliation Commission Check-In. This event is an opportunity for the Ryerson community to share and discuss the steps taken- and the steps needed- to respond to the Calls to Action on Education. There are also many other Indigenous focused events throughout the week. In the past this has included sharing circles, walking tours(focused on local Indigenous history), panel discussions on climate change and Indigenous sovereignty, wampum belt teachings and much more.
