Butterflies in Spirit

Butterflies in Spirit is a Vancouver dance troupe started in 2012 by Lorelei Williams. Their mission is to raise awareness of violence against Aboriginal Women and Girls and the Missing and Murdered Aboriginal Women and Girls across Canada.

Tears 4 Justice

This is a grassroots volunteer based community run organization to raise awareness for the Missing and Murdered Indigenous women and children.

University of British Columbia: Indigenous Foundations

The UBC Indigenous Foundations website holds a collection of “resources on key topics relating to the histories, politics, and cultures of the Aboriginal peoples of Canada. This website was developed to support students in their studies, and to provide instructors, researchers and the broader public with a place to begin exploring topics that relate to Aboriginal peoples, cultures, and histories. Indigenous Foundations was developed by the First Nations Studies Program at the University of British Columbia, located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Musqueam people.”
